28/365 Kate H

Although we seldom hear the words Buddha or Buddhist from her, they are a gentle mantle she carries through her days. Her eye, hand, tongue gentling all around her. It would be unthinkable that someone should hurt her. How could it be, then, that she has been hurt?

Comments:
hi greenishlady, i love these vignettes... are these your descriptions about people you know or new people you meet? does the #/365 represent a desire to write a vignette each day of the year? i sort of love not knowing, but also want to know you better by understanding the intention of this blog. i especially like this one because it involves a philosophy i embrace.

Hi, Nice to have you turn up here! Yes, the 365 is a year of these little sketches of people who have been in my life - briefly or not. The project was begun by Dan Waber, and he explains the idea very well on his blog http://www.logolalia.com/40x365/

All the blogs listed in my sidebar are people doing the same thing, using the number of words equivalent to years they have lived. Glad you found us. I know I've only recently come across your blog. Thanks for dropping by.

I think from a buddhist point of view there are can be at least a couple of answers to your question. I wonder how she'd answer the question?

Unthinkable to hurt a soul like Kate. Many "Kates" would agree!
EJS is right a Buddhist would ponder this answer for quite a while measuring it and answering it differently each time.

Um, no, that is exactly not what I meant.
