51/365 Mother - Mary
My source, my beginning-place, words are inadequate to capture her spirit. Her 50-year old self bought a car, then learnt to drive. Her mother-self left fun come before nutrition sometimes; and time on the garden swing whistling with the blackbird beat housework. First feminist I knew. My mother.

I'll remember this the next time I'm tempted to beat myself over the head for having been such a lousy housekeeper when my kids were young. We had fun, though.
Tis hard to write about our moms! I have yet to write about my mom. No way even 43 paragraphs could hold her. Well done in 48 words.
