82/365 Auntie Imelda

The childhood accident that bent her spine left her tiny and refined: olive-oil-glossed hair, Ponds cold-creamed skin. The mother with no money found enough for piano lessons, because her girl needed something wonderful. And it was – wonderful to hear her play, to watch her fine-boned hands fly. Angel-Aunt.

Comments:
She sounds like a perfect mother.
Bless her!

The mother was my grandmother (not yet described, and 48 words will defeat me there, surely) who made sure her special girl got those piano lessons. Imelda was the perfect aunt.
